Wyomissing's Annual Memorial Day parade

Saturday, May 27, 2017
Wyomissing's annual Memorial Day parade will step off on Saturday, May 27 at 9:45 a.m. from the Wyomissing Hills Playground. A service will follow the parade in Memorial Park. We will meet at the park entrance, at 9:30 a.m. and support the parade from there! For more information, contact Pastor Mark.

Bausman Annual Rummage Sale

Saturday, June 10, 2017
The annual Rummage Sale will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the back lawn under one large and several small tents, providing shelter from hot sun or drenching rain. We will sell hot dogs and a variety of food and beverages, as well as baked goods and candy for sale during the day. The Rummage Sale is lots of fun, and it is also traditionally one of the big fund-raisers for Bausman's General Fund. The success of this project depends not just on the hard work of the volunteers, but also on the generosity of all of Bausman's members in donating their old, gently-used, unneeded items for our re-sale.

We will begin accepting items at church beginning on May 1. Bring your items to Fellowship Hall.

We are accepting:
books, games, toys, furniture, linens, household goods, holiday and seasonal decor, sports equipment, tools, small electronics, kitchen items, luggage, pictures, jewelry, and collectibles

We are not accepting:
clothing, TVs, exercise machines, or encyclopedias

If you need assistance in getting your donations to church, have questions, or would like to volunteer early, please email Karen Good or call 610-376-5195. Think Spring! Think Spring House-cleaning!

Weekly Events

Walking Club

The Walk'n Talkers meet every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. We gather at the Stone House parking lot, or if inclement weather, at the Ruby Tuesday entrance of the Berkshire Mall. Spring has arrived, and it is a perfect time to take some walks in Wyomissing's great outdoors. We will be happy to welcome YOU to our lively group of "Walk'n Talkers!"
If you have questions please contact Pat Ori at 610-927-6561.

Walk'n Talkers head West - sort of.
Last year Bausman's Walk'n Talkers started a virtual walking trek across Pennsylvania. Each member reported the number of miles walked each week and then they were added together and marked on a map. It didn't take long to "walk" across Pennsylvania, so the Walk'n Talkers decided to keep going till they reach the Pacific Ocean. You can follow their journey on the map on the bulletin board outside of the library, or you can join them on the last leg of their trip.

Put Some MAGIC in Your Life

We all shop at local grocery stores weekly for our family's food, but did you realize you can also do something very special for Bausman UCC at the same time. By purchasing and using Bausman's MAGIC cards you can support the church's ministry and missions when you shop at either Giant or Weis Supermarkets. The cards are available for purchase every Sunday in the church's East Entrance, from the Counters in the Office following the Service, or from the Secretary in the Church Office during the week. The cards come in values of $25, $50, and $100. Bausman receives 5% of the purchase price for the use in the General Fund. Please see Karen Good, Lori Moser, or Barbara Lord to participate and "put some MAGIC in your life."

Perks for Bausman

If you shop at Redner's Market you can take advantage of their Save-A-Tape [Pump Perks]. Obtain a Redner's Card at their Customer Service and show it to the cashier each time you visit. Save your receipt, marked Save-A-Tape on it, and turn in to Bausman. Save-a-Tape receipts can be turned in to Bausman by dropping them in the Redner's Box at the East Entrance. Bausman will receive 1% of the total value of your purchase for use by our General Fund. Contact Ruth Levan or the Church Secretary, 610-375-9890 if you have questions. Provide "perks" to Bausman's ministries and missions, too.
